In fact I feel honored ;) I have a XLS sheet I was working on for a final config for the STIIs…..those with the standard head would be able to “see” what freq they are on based on channel # (of course I have the Deluxe Head and the channels can be named…so I put the freq and offset if there in the name….but for those with normal and small heads, it works ok too!!!). In fact here is the XLS sheet…let me post it here and let those who wish to comment on it…….I know it could use some final tweaks. Note the 0-99 range I used for the 51 Mhz 500 kHz offsets, the 100-199 range for both 53Mhz -1Mhz and 52 Mhz EVEN 500khz split channels and the 200-299 range for 53 Mhz 1.7 offsets and 53 MHz EVEN 500 Khz channels. Pretty well covers everything out there…the 300 range is reserved for any oddball splits, etc…..With the STTII and an external tone encoder you can cover the entire 6m FM segment…..(BUT it sure would be NICE if we ALL agreed on the 1.7Mhz split…it makes senses, it puts all YOUR xmit freqs in OMNE 1.7Mhz range and thus less hassle with the mobile antenna and makes the rptr easier to work with at 1.7 vs 500kHz…….. and I add that 1.7MHz outnumbers 500kHz split machines nationwide; note I did not say CA wide J Comments on the file are welcomed….I can run it through the program and produce a codeplug quickly (BTW V1 and V4 of the STII software useh different codeplugs from what I have seen….V4 cannot read an older file correctly…maybe its my software but has anyone else had that happen) Chris WB5ITT
