Revised: 8-3-2008 I discovered today that this file has some bugs. Specifically, it will only open squelch on a 50 Mhz channel if the MON is on or activated. If a CTCSS tone is recieved it will only open when the MON is on. This is not correct operation. The repeater works fine and the radio set works OK if you don't care about the MON feature. I spent several hours yesterday working on the HEX coding in Table 1 without Table, without sucess. My file with table 1 and 2 entered does not work right on my 0520CWB / 2959-1 radio either as published in the 2959 programming manual. I also tried different setting for Option Type, Relocate Add/Del, Option Port and Front Panel Config, to try to stumble on the correct combination without sucess. My radio works fine in it's stock programming (without enabling the Repeater option). If anyone know the magic portion, I'd certainly like to get dialed-in. ------------------------------------------------- 8-1-2008: This is a working configuration in my 70-0520CWB chasis with 70-2959-1 extender and 70-020355 control head (5 button), IE: no error codes, 1 LED stuck. This is a working file, 22 channels, extender/repeater enabled all channels. The extender was programmed using XTRHH.EXE version: The table HEX changes the buttons around so that they function correctly as labeled on the 70-020355 head. This file is set to Public Service, with HEX Table 1( 70-2959 Programming manual, Page 2 of the P/S2 and P/S3 repeater trimplates for my head: 70-020355). Table 2 when entered, did not work. This file has no other HEX entered as far as I know. Only the MON LED is not working. It is on constantly though the button works correctly. I need to make corrections to table 1 to return 1EA2 to 99 and 1EA2 to 18. To be done later. REMEMBER: always read your radio and save the file and write protect it. It can save you much grief and time later should something go wrong. I strongly suggest that you build your file from your own READ, using any of the files here as a sample. Writing my files may get you results that you do not intend nor want. Ask me how I know all this.
